  • Navigation

  • lab
    • "home" link (House Icon & Button ) on each page at top right (except home page).


    • Main Menu (top) - Click (Hamburger Icon at top left or) the site title and select a link. Clicking the links will toggle the menus closed. If you select a page link, the menus will close as your selection loads.
           - Both the Main Menu and any major secondary menu such as Page Section Selections are accessible by Alt + 1.


    • Page Section Selections - Some longer pages have an additional menu at the top, below the page title. Clicking the link for these opens a menu of topic subtitles on that page. Selecting a link will take you to that part of the page.
           - Both the Main Menu and any major secondary menu such as Page Section Selections are accessible by Alt + 1.


    • Gray previous/next arrows (top) for main menu step-through (on all pages except there is no Previous nav arrow on the Home page and no Next nav arrow on the last page..."What If?").
      • Previous (left) navigation arrow () also available by Alt + Z

      • Next (right) navigation arrow () also available by Alt + X

      • Anytime using one of these links would lead to an unfiltered page, if the Religion Filter is ON, they will not be visible and the Alt-key combination will not work for that nav link.

    • Site Purpose Link (at the bottom of the Beyond Tradition page) – This is an abbreviated statement, not a page. The more... link leads to the Summary page, where the purpose statement continues (however, the more... link will not be available if the Religion Filter is ON).


    • Site Map (link in footer) - Has links to all pages, downloads and external sites. The Site Map can be accessed from anywhere using Alt + M. (some items will not appear if site map is filtered)


    • Help File Window (top) - Access using Question Mark image () at top right. Help can also be accessed using Alt + N. Once opened, the Help File Window will remain open and stay on top of text until you reload the page, navigate to a different page, click the Question Mark again, or use Alt + N again.

    • Go To Links

      • At the bottom of all somewhat lengthy pages, and on some longer pages, as well as at the end of a page section on a longer page, you will find a link to return to the page top Main Menu ( ), opening that menu for you as it scrolls up the page.

      • At the bottom of longer pages, as well as at the end of sections on these pages, you will find a link to return to a secondary page top menu (example: ), opening that menu for you as it scrolls up the page.

  • Settings
       To View Settings, Click Gear Icon or use Alt + B


    • Religion Comments Filter Toggle - Anyone wishing to read on the site with most religion-oriented comments removed can turn on this filter.
      • Click the Settings Gear Icon (top left) and click the filter switch. At any time the filter is used, a tiny LED indicator labeled Religion will appear as green for ON or red for OFF by its switch in Settings.

      • This filter can also be toggled on and off using Alt + R.

      This setting should persist for a year unless your browser cache is cleared or you use a different browser or online device.


    • Black Text Toggle Switch - Anyone who finds the primary text color difficult to read can turn on this switch.
      • Click the Settings Gear Icon (top left) and click the color switch. At any time the color switch is used, a tiny LED indicator labeled Color will appear as green for ON or red for OFF by its switch in Settings.

      • This setting can also be toggled on and off using Alt + C.

      This setting should persist for a year unless your browser cache is cleared or you use a different browser or online device.


    • Gecko Animation Toggle Switch - This feature setting is only available while on the Innocence page where animated geckos run amok and can get in the way.
      • Click the Settings Gear Icon (top left) and click the switch. At any time the gecko setting switch is used, a tiny LED indicator labeled Geckos will appear as green for ON or red for OFF by its switch in Settings. Of course, the fact that geckos are or are not running all over the page is also an indicator.

      • This switch can also be toggled on and off using Alt + G.
      • The on-off button below the home button which has a tiny image of a gecko on it will also turn the geckos on and off. At any time this button is used, a tiny LED indicator on the button will show green for ON or red for OFF.

    - Note: The hot-keys mentioned above, in some browsers may not work, or require a different key combination, such as Alt+Shift+R, etc. (see link below to view list & further information)

    - Note: Using Microsoft Edge browser allows you to right-click and select Read Aloud. It isn't perfect, but does a pretty good job. Saves squinting at rows and rows of text...and highlights rows and words as spoken, allowing you to follow along. Other browsers may offer similar features with a plugin or extension.
